Selecting the right credit counselor is an important decision. A reputable credit counselor can be a tremendous resource for the person struggling with debt. And if you are seriously in debt, then a credit counselor may be the only solution between you and bankruptcy. If you are at that point, then the time you spend choosing a reputable credit counseling agency can literally save you thousands of dollars in the long run. Not all credit counseling agencies are the same. The credit counseling agency is usually a non-profit agency.
